Can I really use it as a cutting board?
Absolutely. Plateek is made from high-density, food-grade silicone specifically engineered for food prep. While it is "soft" on your blades to keep them sharp, it is incredibly durable and resistant to deep cuts and gouges.
Does it really turn into a plate?
Yes! By "snapping" the magnetic corners together, the flat mat folds into a sturdy, leak-proof serving dish. It’s perfect for carrying chopped veggies to the stove or serving appetizers at the table.
Is the silicone safe for my family?
Yes, 100%. We use BPA-free, FDA-approved, medical-grade silicone. It is non-toxic, non-porous (so it doesn't harbor bacteria), and completely safe for direct contact with all types of food.
How much heat can it actually handle?

Will it stain if I cut things like beets or turmeric?
Because the surface is non-porous, plateek is highly stain-resistant. For very strong pigments (like turmeric), we recommend a quick rinse immediately after use to keep your dish looking fresh!
